This film, a documentary by noted Canadian journalist and champion of Canadian freedom, John Robson, explores the historical roots of our basic freedoms and the continued efforts of citizens necessary to preserve them. It is no accident that Canada developed as a nation of free people. It happened because those who came before us devoted some of their time and strength to resisting authoritarian efforts to suppress freedom.
But the basic freedoms of Canadians are under strong attack today, and we need to rise to the occasion in our own times!
We have arranged for this film to be screened as part of our upcoming visit to British Columbia to advocate for freedom of religion. Following the film, The Democracy Defence Initiative will give an update on threats to basic freedoms in Canada today. We will join our Vancouver and Lower Mainland supporters for some social time. Please join us! RSVP to [email protected].
